La Parcería
Founded in 2010, La Parcería emerged as a collective of thought, creation, and action, formed to imagine, investigate, and produce cultural and artistic projects from a migrant perspective—one that reclaims the role of diasporic communities as active agents in the cultural fabric of the city. After years of sustained actions in the street, the neighborhood, and public space, as well as through relationships with various public and private institutions, La Parcería has taken the form of an independent cultural center from which it organizes its own work and that of the communities it comprises.
The association’s activity is currently structured into four commissions, each addressing different areas of action: Music and Popular Expressions, Children and Family, ArteExperimenta, and La Parcería Edita.
La Parcería is guided by the principles of critical thinking grounded in decolonial discourse and anti-racist action, feminisms and gender issues, ecologism, and the values of the social and solidarity economy.
La Parcería positions itself as a platform for encounter, which—through mediation, creation, and curating—seeks to build bridges between diverse realities, crossing borders and strengthening alliances on both sides of the Atlantic.
