La performance LUCY forma parte de un proyecto a largo plazo finalizado a la constitución de un archivo de sueños sirviéndose de las herramientas de Telegram para intercambiar y almacenar los datos. El dúo Watzinger&Tazreiter anota diariamente sus sueños (de febrero a junio de 2020) para convertirlos en la base de acciones performativas llevadas a cabo a través de Zoom. Las artistas se sirven de objetos específicos, constituidos por material transparente o reflectante,para recrear sensaciones y situaciones espaciales de ascendencia onírica. Las autoras, suspendidas entre realidad y ensueño, crean un espacio donde los límites entre el contexto virtual, el real y sus reflejos se pierden; todo se vuelve fluido. Espejos y ventanas se transforman en un lugar simbólico donde el BLICK (mirada) se convierte en acción consciente, y precisa de un marco cocteauiano para centrar la atención del espectador sobre el cuerpo de las artistas y su punto de vista temporal cuanto efímero.
The LUCY performance is part of a long-term project completed with the constitution of a dream archive using Telegram tools to exchange and store the data. The duo Watzinger&Tazreiter write down their dreams daily (from February to June 2020) to make them the basis for the performative actions carried out through Zoom. The artists use specific objects, made of transparent or reflective material, to recreate sensations and spatial situations of dreamlike descent. The authors, suspended between reality and dreams, create a space where the limits between the virtual context, the real one and their reflections are lost; everything becomes fluid. Mirrors and windows are transformed into a symbolic place where the BLICK (gaze) becomes conscious action, and requires a Cocteauian frame to focus the viewer’s attention on the body of the artists and their temporary point of view as ephemeral.
