Fun Facts of Movie

The «sound of images» is a cinematographic performance based on the use of photosensitive microphones that convert light into sound, thus creating a soundtrack from the images of a city projected on the screen. What do the landscapes of Toronto sound like, what are the colors that their spaces evoke, what is their rhythm and tone? The resulting piece is a kind of diary of her stay in Toronto that the director built around the colors and shapes found on her walks through the city. It is a symphony of a city that really sounds, by direct translation of its projected images. An experiment that involved the manufacture of these photophonotransistors, more than microphones, instruments that instead of using strings or wind to sound, use images. She herself modulates them live, leaving the sound to chance in each performance.

We are currently working on a performance with the same characteristics in relation to the format. Using the same microphones with different images. In this case, analog loops are used that are interchanged during the performance, these give rise to different rhythms, creating a sound piece, something closer to a concert/session than a projection. The importance here is the sound, the film is used only to create compositions and rhythms. This performance does not lie in reading the sound contained in the images, but in using the images to create music.
