Born in October 15, 1986 in Mexico City. Specialized in Contemporary Music Composition at Scuola Civica Claudio Abbado in Milan, Italy, with Giovanni Verrando. Granted the fellowship by FONCA (National Fund for Culture and Arts) of «Young Creators» in 2016-2017. His research in music is focused on the awareness of the creative process, its philosophical aspects, its musical notation and performance. The result of his postgraduate conference “From the Image to the Score” and his research paper “The Figure in New Music” were converged to emerge his most recent multidisciplinary opera: IN PSOFOS, an independent and multidisciplinary historical audio-visual project in collaboration with a special selection of young Mexican artists. Miguel has been awarded several times as selected composer in international festivals and competitions, including Composition Competition Antonin Dvorak in Prague, Czech Republic (2013-2014); Sound of Wander in Milan, Italy (2015); Sirga Festival in Flix, Spain (2016); and Laberintos Sonoros in his native Mexico City (2017-2018). He has participated in seminars, lectures and masterclasses of renowned composers such as Julio Estrada, Klaus Lang, Gonzalo Macías, Franck Bedrossian, Germán Romero, Giorgio Netti, Javier Torres Maldonado, Chaya Czernowin and Ignacio Baca Lobera.
