Ilnur Sharafutdinov is an artist from a Turkish-speaking region – the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) and is living in Barcelona (Spain). He is a writer and performance artist. He also works as history professor in university, specializing in art history of Turkish-speaking Post-Soviet Asian countries. His concern is always around his physical conditions and the traumatic experience. In his oeuvres, through audiovisual methods and paintings, he pays special attention to nature with his abstract expressions, using natural materials such as stones, flowers, plants, his own body and facial expressions.
