Ben Vine
Artist, Photography
United Kingdom
Ben Vine (United Kingdom 1972) studied at the London College of Printing and lives and works in Madrid. He has a predilection for analogue photography, which carries the promise of the unpredictability, the possibility of error, light leakage, or an unexpected superimposition of images that allow the work to escape his control and take on a life of its own. Under the pseudonym analogueresistance explores the possibilities offered by stereography or three-dimensional photography, its sculptural quality and volume, especially in the field of portraiture. His video art work has been awarded in competitions such as Injuve, and Generations and has been exhibited at the Casa Encendida in Madrid and the Saatchi gallery From london. His photographic work has been exhibited at Urvanity art fairs, and Paratissima, as well as having been exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London. Their Urban interventions have been awarded the CALLE 2019 and 2022 prize.
