Universo 25

The audiovisual work “Universe 25” tells us about the experiments made by Dr. John Calhoun for more than 2 decades during 50’s. He studied rats’ behaviour in closed spaces where unlimited resources existed for them to live without any need for survival. He found out that, despite having everything for a peaceful dwelling, overpopulation tended to extinguish communities. Calhound’s studies are used nowadays in modern urban sociology in order to analyse human’s behaviour in big cities. “Universe 25” shows us a dystopian view of the world and its effects in the long term.
