Señales desde el sarcófago
Fun Facts of Movie
Signals from the sarcophagus is the short film adaptation of the homonymous installation project. This is an investigation into certain recurring narrative structures in space travel movies, where spaceships are shown moving through space while the crew hibernates. Obsolete machinery from the Scientific Instrumentation Center (UGR) serves as a pretext to fictionalize the interior of a hypothetical abandoned spaceship that wanders aimlessly. Through a series of displacements between science and fiction, cinematographic resources are experimented with in scenes that suspend the time of the journey and the story.
