Fun Facts of Movie

How will technology change the ways we see and interact with the world around us? Sarotis and Sovar short films explore answers to this question beyond the era of smart phones, towards more intimate body-based technological futures. The two films provoke the audience to consider how future technologies may dissolve the distinction between our own physiology and that of the machines, creating what can be considered as beyond-Anthropos. Where does the machine stop and the body begin? Sarotis speculates that soft wearable machines can become a tool for a collective identity networking all nonhuman bodies around the world and eventually awakening a shared consciousness on Earth.

Sovar draws upon a more palpable future, targeting the rise of intangible information as an important part of nonhumans’ sensorial inputs. In the age of isolation and mixed realities, many sensible events have been replaced with more virtual alternatives, implying that the human body performs beyond the boundaries of its skin. And by getting closer to inhabiting non- places as a specie, what will we depend on besides our body-minds?
