Monumentos

The installation of video is a proposal related to film, expanded documentary, spatial intervention and work with archives of my personal history. The installation approach reinforces the dismantling of graphic and graphic material, resizing its original value to explore its aesthetic and documentary value. On two aligned but slightly angled screens, there are all records in Super 8 of monuments and spaces from different parts of the world, some emblematic. On a monitor at ground level, occupying the center of the installation, there are images of a child, close-ups in slow motion. The difference in climbing between the screens and the monitor gives dimension to the discourse of the work: the monuments as an allegory of the figure of the father in contrast with the small and innocent image of the child.
