Foreign Office
Fun Facts of Movie
Foreign Office focuses on the period between 1962 and 1972, during which Algiers became the «mecca of revolutionaries», hosting representations of numerous liberation movements from Africa, Asia and the Americas, such as the International Section of Eldridge Cleaver of the Black Panther party, the ANC of Nelson Mandela (African National Congress) or the PAlGC (African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde) founded by Amilcar Cabral. Foreign Office combines fragments in which «montage», orality, translation and poetry suggest an alternative historiography of utopias that reflect on possible gestures of resistance for the present, and potentially for the future.
