FEMME

With an experimental short film, Venezuelan filmmaker and dancer Carla Forte integrates art and community. The film’s mission is to achieve profound, transformative social work and spark open spaces for dialogue about sensitive issues.

The short film, filmed in Miami, fuses the stories of a group of five Hispanic women who, under Forte’s direction, managed to weave their emotions into the wind, letting them flow through their moving limbs, their faces, their hair, and their gazes filled with hope, joy, fear, and strength.
