Ever Folding

“Ever Folding” is an anti-ethnographic video which prefers to hide the field work’s background. The context folds up, fold by fold, continuously and infinitely, leading to reject any voyeuristic possibility to the spectator. If seeing means knowing and knowing means controlling, here the spectator neither sees nor knows, a fact that eliminates the possibility of controlling. This work has a critical view of the traditional ethnography and a pilot testing of other ways to relate with the otherness created by field work. The images break and disrupt the Colonial Perspective.
