Breve aproximación a los afectos

This project emerged as part of an exploration of the materiality of film as a medium. It involves an intervention through the inoculation of a fungus on an adult film, seemingly from the 1970s, in 8mm. I wanted to address in this footage my reflections on the corporeal and the ephemeral, as the material came to life thanks to the fungus and is constantly degrading, since I chose not to chemically fix the film again. Later, during the digitization process, these images, with their beautiful colors, evoked more a sense of tenderness and offered a brief glimpse of what love can be.
