Doctor in composition and electroacoustic music from Columbia University, New York, Matthews has performed in over 20 countries in Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East. His dance work includes Orache with Mal Pelo; improvisations with La Ribot and Mónica Valenciano, performances with Valérie Métivier in San Francisco, Lebanon, Toulouse, Madrid, Los Angeles, Lisbon; with Elena Alonso in Madrid, Berlin, Girona, Santiago; and with Marianela León in Madrid. With Cecilia Gala at the Vostell-Malpartida Museum, in Madrid at CRUCE, the LDC Fest. and in Skin FIlm at the Rayo Festival of Expanded Cinema in El Matadero.
