As a photographer I am interested in investigating the stores of archaeology, anthropology, ethnography and natural history museums as counter-places, heterotopias (M. Foucault), where it is possible to decontextualize the relate in order to contextualize it in other possible narratives that lead to constant questions , beyond the grid that scientific discourse imposes.

The store is a space where materiality, objects, collections … take another life and the relationships among them are reversed, neutralized or suspended, always outside the frame of reference of the museum rooms where the visitor’s gaze is redirected (In the case of the Canary Islands, these museums were born under the european colonial expansion gaze on the exotic was the backbone for its contents).

The archaeological landscape as a collective memory archive, also constitutes for me a space of work and reflection on the multiple times and their symbolic images.
