Natacha Voliakovsky (b. 1988 in Buenos Aires) is an activist and Bio Hard-Core performance artist, Argento-Sudaca-Judia, Hi-Testosterone woman.
Her work fights for the sovereignty of the body through performance pieces that hack the system from the inside, showing its oppressive rules on gender identity and self-construction.
She has been selected in INVERSE Program, in partnership with The Momentary Museum. Bentonville, Arkansas (2021), Creative Capital’s Taller para artistas NYC (2019-2020), EMERGENYC at the Hemispheric Institute for Performance and Politics (NYU, 2019) and the intensive workshop in performance art at Venice International Performance Art Week, Italy (2018). She’s also taken part of the contemporary art residency at Überbau Haus, Brazil (2017) and Sur Polar residency, Antarctica (2014), among others. During the last 10 years, Natacha’s works and performances have been featured in group and solo exhibitions in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Finland, Italy, Czech Republic, India, Turkey, Ukraine, Denmark, Greece and USA.
She’s created Voliakovsky Performance Method, a series of training techniques for hard-core performance art. The artist’s aim is to share the techniques she herself uses to prepare body and mind before carrying out a performance piece.
Since 2019, is the Director of Argentina Performance Art, the first platform for theoretical research on performance art in Argentina, funded by the Cultural Patronage commission of the Buenos Aires City Council.
