Menhir is a collective formed by the visual artist Coco Moya (Gijón, 1982) and the musician Iván Cebrián (Cuenca 1980). The series of pieces that they have made, form an open work that includes music, installation and tour. Based on the notion of geo-puncture, where the menhir alters and transforms the territory creating a field of interactions and mutual affections, they use music as a virtual menhir. His work has been exhibited at LABoral Centro de Arte, CICUS, Sala de Arte Joven Av. América, Museum of Human Evolution, Se Alquila, or Centro Valey. They have published “Menhir, Music for mountain” (2016), and have received scholarships such as Artifariti 2016 (Madrid Region), or the Claves scholarship (Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation).
