Lucas Olivares (Corrientes, Argentina, January 1990) holds a degree in Audiovisual Arts from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA). He works in film as a director, screenwriter, and assistant director. His teaching experience includes courses in the Bachelor’s in Combined Arts and the Technical Degree in Image, Sound and Multimedia Design at the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (FADyCC–UNNE). In Northeast Argentina, he has coordinated audiovisual workshops at the University Cultural Center (CCU–UNNE), in secondary schools, and in detention centers. Together with Mariana Repetto, he founded the Corto Plazo Audiovisual Collective, launching the project Para Salir at the Corrientes Mental Health Hospital.

He is a member of the audiovisual collective Yaguá Pirú Cine, along with Clarisa Navas, Ana Carolina García, Liz Haedo, and Maia Navas.

He is currently involved in the filming of El Príncipe de Nanawa, a documentary by Clarisa Navas produced by Gentil Cine and Tekoha Audiovisual; is developing the feature film Los días en el sur with Liz Haedo, produced by Jaque Content; and is working on the documentary Cauces with Ana Carolina García and Mariana Repetto.
