Jesús Hdez-Güero (Havana, 1983). Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts «San Alejandro», Havana (1999-2003). Later he entered the Higher Institute of Art (ISA) in Havana (2004-2009), obtaining his degree in Fine Arts. He studied at the «Art of Conduct» Chair, taught by the artist Tania Bruguera, Havana (2006-2008). Professional Photography at EFTI – Madrid International Center for Photography and Cinema (2018-2019). His works have been included in: 1st Bienal de Karachi, Pakistan; 9th and 12th ma Havana Biennial, Cuba; 10ma Liverpool Biennial, United Kingdom; 7th Gwangju Biennial, Corea del Sur. He has exhibited his work in: Le Palais de Tokyo, Paris, France; Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris, France; ESMoA, California, United States; Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst, Aachen, Germany; Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Roma (MACRO), Italy; Alejandro Otero Museum (MAO), Caracas, Venezuela; Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM), Las Palmas de Gran Canarias; Centro-Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo (Artium), Vitoria, Spain; National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA), Havana, Cuba; among others. He has had several important awards such as: V Jacobo Tosio Scholarship, EFTI / International Center of Photography and Cinema, Madrid, Spain; Unique Prize in the 3rd International Festival of Video Creation «Close Up Vallarta», Jalisco, Mexico; 1st Prize of Photography in the «International Contemporary Art Competition 2017», by Open Art Miami, United State; Artist-In-Residence Laboratory. Centre for Contemporary Art «Ujazdowski Castle», Warsaw, Poland; among others. Lives and works in Madrid.
