Jeanne de Petriconi is a French sculptor living and working between Madrid and Bastia (Corsica). She studied at the University of Corsica, Fine Arts in Avignon and graduated from ENSAD in Paris in 2009, specializing in sculpture/installation.
She has received the Best Young Artist Mention of the Arte Laguna International Prize at the Venice Arsenal (2010), the Georges Wildenstein Prize of the Academy of Fine Arts of Paris (2013), the Campos Clinicae Prize (Vigo, 2015) and was a Finalist in the Françoise International Competition for Contemporary Art (Paris, 2016).
She has held artistic residencies in Quebec (Pépinières pour Jeunes Artistes), Finland, Switzerland (Ferme-Asile Art Center) and Madrid, where she was an Artist Member of the Casa de Velázquez (French Academy in Madrid).
She was part in 2010 and 2012 of the Moscow International Biennial for Young Artists. In 2011 she presented a first solo exhibition in Corsica. In 2014 she exhibited Architectomie #1 at the Palacio de Cibeles, Madrid City Hall. In 2016, she presented the sculpture #72 at the Musée de la Mémoire Vivante (Canada) and inaugurated two exhibitions: Éloge de la folie (Gurriarán gallery, Madrid), and Sculpture/Cinéma: Possibilités de dialogue, with video artist Guillermo G. Peydró at the Espace d’Art Contemporain Orenga de Gaffory (Corsica). In 2018, she presents Asphodèle (Magda Bellotti Gallery, Madrid), participates in Identità, a group exhibition at the Museum of Bastia, and realizes with Guillermo G. Peydró a 300m2 solo exhibition of film and sculpture, Passeghji. In 2020 she inaugurates her first public commission in the city of Bastia: Paysage-temps: Kyrnos. Finally, in 2023 she has just finished a work of urban art in the public space «Esta es una plaza», a mural born from the need of local women to pay tribute to a victim of vicarious violence.
