Celeste Rojas Mugica is a visual artist and filmmaker. She is currently studying the Master in Film Creation of the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola.

She investigates about the relationship between memories, violence and imaginaries about the territory, working with images and archives as media of experimentation around its social uses and political power, setting her practice in the borders between fiction and documentary.

During her career she has been supported by FONDART (Chile); BECAR Culture-Ministry of Culture of Argentina; the National Fund of Arts of Argentina, the Deutsch Art Council (Italy), among others. Her work by her has been recognized with the National Young Photography Prize (Chile), the Buenos Aires Young Art Biennial Prize (Argentina) and the Creation Prize of the Biennial of Image in Movement (Argentina), among others.

She has recently exhibited in BIENALSUR, ArsElectronica, Les Rencontres d’Arles, SSIFF and UNSEEN.

She is represented by Rolf Art Gallery.
