Álvaro Chior is a multidisciplinary artist and musician from Galicia, currently based in Madrid.

His research focuses on the tensions and conflicts between different material and linguistic processes, between the discursive and the fictional, the organic and the overdesigned, and the gestural and the automated.

His work has been exhibited at institutions such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Madrid), CC Can Felipa (Barcelona), Sala Amadís Injuve (Madrid), Matadero (Madrid), DA2 Domus Artium 2002 (Salamanca), Las Cigarreras (Alicante), and Etopia: Center of Art and Technology (Zaragoza), as well as in countries including the U.S., Mexico, Italy, Portugal, and Scotland.
