Alina d’Alva Duchrow, an visual artist born in Fortaleza, Brazil, uses video, photography, drawing, and multimedia installations, often in public spaces, to explore local contexts. Her work aims to approach situations openly, without preconceived ideas, allowing insights on time, space, and human connections to emerge naturally. In recent projects, she examines forgotten or suppressed colonial histories, crafting a cartography of multi-temporal, polyphonic narratives that blend micro-histories with her own experiences.

Duchrow holds a PhD degree in Visual Arts from UNB – University of Brasilia, Brazil and postgraduate degree in visual arts from Alanus Hochschule in Germany.
