Alfonso S. Suárez (November 5, 1977, Gijón) is a scriptwriter, director and audiovisual producer from Spain.

He is the producer of spots for film and television as well as video clips and documentaries. He has been director of television programming and content and professor of advertising and film directing. He is professor of documentary script at the EL PAÍS School of Journalism. Guest speaker at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) and at UConn (University of Connecticut).

He has produced and directed documentary feature films such as «Voces en Imágenes» (premiered at the Seminci in Valladolid) and has been a jury for the National Film Award granted by the Ministry of Culture of Spain and the SGAE Julio Alejandro Ibero-American Award

His work has been present at the Lincoln Center in New York and at festivals such as Sitges, San Sebastián or Malaga. With his work, he has obtained more than forty national and international awards, including the Best Work award at the Fantastic Film Festival in Manchester.

As a multimedia artist, he has made, among others, the audiovisual «Keres» shot at the Niemeyer Center in Asturias (located in Avilés) and exhibited at the Belgrade Cinematheque Museum as well as at numerous festivals: Openeyes (Germany), Experimental International Film Festival ( Australia), The People’s Film Festival (New York) and the London International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film.

In the musical field, his latest work has been the video clip «Pa ‘come to your side» by Enrique Bunbury.7

Director and producer of the feature film «Writing Heads: the scriptwriters speak», the first documentary made in Spain about the world of the script.

As a photographer he has been a finalist for the Man Ray Award and was one of those selected in Discoveries PhotoEspaña 2016.
