My artistic practice investigates the relationships between the individual, the territory and how we relate to the physical environment, reconfiguring the relationship between own experience and representation. In the video series “Attempts”, which began in 2014, is shown the attempt to erect several vertical structures with tree trunks. The construction process stops the moment the structure collapses. The work continues trying to improve the immediately previous construction. There is a dialogue with the structure itself that is rising and the material that builds it – the attempt to reconstruct a tree through fragments of trunks. This way of working based on repeating processes and generating routines, allows action to become knowledge and, in this way, artistic creation becomes a tool that makes us aware of the place we inhabit.
