Signs of the city

A white canvas is carried through a city. The empty white surface catches shadows of city signs, lamps or rubbish bins and transforms them into art. The canvas does not only represent a white wall of the legendary white cube or the substrate for a not yet painted painting but also works as an allegory for the cinema screen which escaped cinema. For an instant the white screen provides a projection surface for a monochrome film dedicated to the fleetingness of time.
