Uma Coisa em Forma de Assim

In 2011, the National Ballet Company invited some of the most prominent Portuguese choreographers to create nine different pieces that would culminate in the production Uma Coisa em Forma de Assim. Bernardo Sassetti, responsible for both composing and performing the music, served as the connecting thread between all the pieces. “Deriva” was Clara Andermatt’s response to this challenge: a meeting between composer, choreographer, and dancers, marked by an unexpected flow of ideas and improvised moments. Later, Sassetti took the initiative to turn this work into a film.
