Fun Facts of Movie

The project is a collaboration between Jorge Macchi and Edgardo Rudnitzky, centred around «whispering windows,» a device that transforms the surface of a glass panel into an amplifier. Initially, they conceived of constructing a structure comprising four layers of glass with white dots projected onto them, each producing a sound upon appearance. This allowed the audience to both hear the piece and physically experience the space. Subsequently, they progressed to projecting white letters onto the crystals, crafting a text that could be read on four different levels.

Inspired by Idea Vilariño’s poem «Good Bye,» the work utilizes the poem’s words, which, when projected onto the glass surface, trigger sounds, engaging the viewer in a multisensory experience. Rudnitzky suggested employing female voices, not to sing the poem, but to articulate the lyrics each time they appear. The letters intermittently materialize and vanish, toying with the notion of erasing the text.
