Programación Variada
Fun Facts of Movie
This is the first video art by Isidoro Valcárcel Medina, winner of the 2007 Velázquez Prize, since 1976, made at the CAIC in Buenos Aires.
The piece speaks of expectation, illusion and emptiness. The installation consists of a sofa or several armchairs and a tube television showing a variety of programmes. The artist was invited in 2010 by the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA in co-production with the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea – CGAC), to present in the exhibition «¿ESTÁIS LISTOS PARA LA TELEVISIÓN?». The piece was rejected by the organisation. Therefore, it is an unpublished work in Spain, shown by PROYECTOR in the «El poder de la palabra» curatorship at the Centro Cultural de España in Lima.
With the support of the Comunidad de Madrid and Eclectiktronik.
