Llorar por todo

First presentation: world premiere.
«Llorar por todo» (cry over everything) is a site-specific project that emerged from contact with «La imprenta», a space in the Chamberí neighbourhood of Madrid, which was once a coal mine, later a printing press and now a bookshop, publishing house and cultural centre: a transition from stone, the hardest thing, to the spirit, the softest. Its successive transformations speak of profound changes in our society, affecting everything from the production and energy model to the symbolic regime and the sphere of subjectivity. A period of history in which some ways of life are displaced and replaced by others, a progress that is simultaneously a catastrophe. Crying is thus a moment of truth that offers a possibility of meaning in the midst of a modernity without sadness.
