The Walk

The Walk is a sculptural and performative piece, begun in Glasgow, Scotland, in 2022, that engages with the sounds, movements, and fleeting conversations of everyday life. During a one-hour walk, the artist records the sounds around him in an urban space, but begins by asking passersby three questions: Where are we going? How do we get there? What are we leaving behind? From this catalog of sounds along the way and broad responses, a written document is created, and the words that record a specific moment in a specific space are projected onto those same streets.

The version for the 18th Edition of PROYECTOR Festival in Madrid will be the evolution of this idea in a different, but equally very similar, space and time.
