Oporto, a neighborhood located in Puerta Bonita, Carabanchel Bajo. An area of renowned historical and cultural significance, revalued and planned to establish efficient networks with the rest of the city. It was in 2013, amidst the current wave of social change and transformation of economic and productive structures, that an initiative was born to reactivate this peripheral area to form an active network, generating culture and expression.

A former textile factory has been converted into nine art studios, capable of creating not only a project of coexistence and work, but also generating a community effect, made up of members of diverse backgrounds and reinforced by the strong individuality of their work. A group we call Nave Oporto has been established as a creative force, consisting of: Irma Álvarez-Laviada, FOD, Santiago Giralda, Miki Leal, Sonia Navarro, Toni Ramón, Belén Rodríguez, Manuel Saro, and Miguel Ángel Tornero.

A landmark in the artistic world, they occupy a space that blends the dynamics of the old workshop with independent yet collaborative work planning, merging the affinities and connections between the artists within their production.
