Rogelio Meléndez a.k.a Ayer (Reynosa, Mexico 1988) is a multidisciplinary visual artist who covers different media in his production such as: graffiti, painting, mural, installation and video.
His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, such as: La Casa de la Cultura del Cusco in Cusco (Peru, 2016), the Alfredo Zalce de Morelia Museum of Contemporary Art (Mexico, 2016), the Cultural Institute of Mexico in France, France. , 2015), the International Museum of Contemporary Art of Tamaulipas (Mexico, 2015), the 18th International FILE Electronic Festival (Brazil, 2017), the Miami New Media Festival “MNMF” (USA, 2017), International Festival of Experimental Cinema and Videoart «Bideodromo» (Spain, 2017) among others. He was also the winner of the Acquisition Award at La Bienal de Las Fronteras (Mexico, 2014), selected at the X Biennial of Painting and Engraving «Alfredo Zalce» (Michoacán, 2016) and at the XI Biennial of Painting «Joaquín Clausell» (Campeche , 2015), Honorable Mention in the Tenth Grupo Reforma Art Show (Mexico, 2015), winner of the INTERFAZ 2015 emerging artist scholarship and beneficiary in the «Program for Stimulating Artistic Development and Creation 22″ in the category of » Young Creators ”“ (PECDA 22, 2017).
