Pedro Sena Nunes (Lisbon, May 18, 1968) is a Portuguese director, producer, photographer, teacher, and programmer.

He finished the Cinema Course in 1992 at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, after attending Machine Engineering at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa in 1989. He co-founded Companhia Teatro Meridional, in which he is responsible for the audiovisual area. Between Barcelona, ​​Lyon, Sitges, Budapest, Lisbon and Florence he participated in courses and workshops on cinema, photography, video, theater and creative writing. He made documentaries, fictions and experimental works in cinema and video and produced more than 100 advertising spots for television and radio. He received a scholarship from several institutions – Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Universidade de Ciências de Lisboa, Pépenières, Visions.

He collaborates regularly with choreographers, directors, visual artists, actors, designers, writers, musicians and architects. He has been invited to participate in national and international conferences. He was a jury in competitions and festivals of photography, theater, design, dance and cinema, highlighting Instituto Cinema e Audiovisual (ICA). He was the founder of Teatro Meridional, Avanti.pt, Apordoc and Associação Portuguesa de Realidores and is artistic director of Associação Vo’Arte and consultant of other associations and specific artistic projects.

He co-created several transdisciplinary projects with the choreographer Ana Rita Barata, highlighting Devaneios Flutuantes – Carlos Paredes, Cidade Nua, Corpo Todo and Arquivar.

For the past 14 years he has devoted himself simultaneously to the area of ​​pedagogy, creating and directing laboratories dedicated to creation and experimentation, both documentary and fictional. He was a visiting professor at the School of Theater and Cinema (ESCT), Dance Forum, Piaget Institute, Ana Wilson School, Glasgow Film and Video Workshop (GFVW), Centro Em Movimento (C.E.M.) and ETIC (Technical School of Image and Communication). Highlight for his collaboration, as a consultant, in the reform of artistic education with the Ministry of Education.

At ETIC, in addition to being a trainer and project coordinator, he assumed responsibility for the Image and Sound Area, professional and technical education, designing courses and creating pedagogical and artistic projects in an authorial dimension. He was Creative Director at ETIC.
