Curatorship, PROYECTOR Professional, Research, Teaching
Spain
I graduated in Art History from the Complutense University of Madrid; I have a Master’s degree in Contemporary Art History and Visual Culture from the Autonomous and Complutense Universities of Madrid and the Reina Sofía National Art Museum; and I am a specialist in Indian art through a special degree offered by the «TRAMA» research group of the Complutense University of Madrid.
I have enjoyed several prestigious scholarships and placements abroad. I have also collaborated with different institutions, from art galleries, museums, foundations, and associations to artist residencies, as well as in specific projects and with cultural agents. Since 2017, I have been Visual Arts Coordinator at CRUCE Arte y Pensamiento Contemporáneo, one of the historical associations of the independent art scene in Madrid. I have been a co-founding member of the curatorial collective Equipo COMA (2017 – 2018), whose objective focused on analysing and reflecting on the current artistic-cultural panorama, and generating synergies between the different fields of the humanities and creation. Of the projects carried out by Equipo COMA, it is worth highlighting the curatorial interventions in WhiteLab’s ArtBattalion Festival 18′, the performance «Intruders» at the Reina Sofía Museum and the exhibition project and publication of Punctum Ludis. Secuencias de una vida by the artist Ignacio Bosch (Alaró, Mallorca). My most recent publications include La psicología del «Arte Ultramoderno» en los ensayos del Doctor Gonzalo Rodríguez Lafora (Eikon Imago, 2019), and Estudio de la infancia en el siglo XIX a través de la muñeca de porcelana de Emile-Louis Jumeau (Museo del Romanticismo, 2019), a work co-authored with Carlos Rubio Terés.
Lastly, I would like to point out that the subject of my research focuses on the study of the art of the mentally ill in Spain at the beginning of the 20th century. And, specifically, on the work of the neuropsychiatrist Gonzalo Rodríguez Lafora, and his relations with foreign countries.
I have been collaborating with PROYECTOR since 2018, and writing texts since 2019.
