Nuno Lacerda was born in 1983 in Lisbon, where he lives and works.

In 2008 he completed his Bachelor’s degree (Pre-Bologna) in Plastic Arts – Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.

He has training in comics (CITEN – José Azeredo de Perdigão Modern Art Center, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation) and theater performance (Sintra Theater House).

He develops his individual work around Video, Painting and Illustration and is an active member of several collective projects in Theater and Music. He has been developing educational and artistic awareness activities for children and young people since 2005, and for people with special needs since 2015, in collaboration with various cultural and private institutions.

He was one of the finalists for the SONAE Media Art Award 2017, with the work Samarra, which was exhibited at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo – Museu do Chiado, between November 23, 2017 and April 1, 2018.
