Montserrat Rodríguez aka nyx10110 is a multidisciplinary artist born in Barcelona who currently lives and brings in Girona for family and creative reasons. She studied Geography at the Universitat de Barcelona, ​​UB and Multimedia at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunia, UOC. She is an Environmental Technician and worked in the area of ​​web and interactive production in relation to GIS and Spatial Planning issues.

Her training in the area of ​​Contemporary Art is recent and largely self-taught. She is enthusiastic about the DIY-Do It Yourself philosophy and everything that an edupunk conception implies, she complements it with courses and workshops in the field of video, photography and multimedia art.

I have carried out these workshops at the Escola Municipal d’Art (EMA) of the Center Cultural la Mercè – Girona, in Niu: contemporary art space – Barcelona and Visions of Art – Berlin, with a large category of teachers such as Eloi Maduell, Dani García, Santi Vilanova, Alba G. Corral, Marcio Carvalho, Andrea Coyotzi, Roberto Cárdenas, Daniel Palacios, Laura d’Ors, Mario Asef, Javier Chozas, Juan Curto and Perla Montelongo.

I have also carried out some summer workshops in the UOC program «Digital Art and Culture» in collaboration with the LaBoral Center for Art and Industrial Creation, as well as the course «Curator of Digital Art and New Media» in Artica – Uruguay, » Visual Anthropology and Webnography «at UNED and» Hidrófonos «at Nau Côclea – Camallera / L’Estartit (Catalonia) with José Manuel Berenguer, Carlos Gómez and Pablo Sanz.
