Marta Galindo García (Cádiz, 1993) is an artist currently living in Madrid, where she works in her studio Servicios Generales. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville and De Montfort University (Leicester, United Kingdom) and later completed her studies with a Master’s degree in Artistic Research and Creation from the Complutense University of Madrid. In 2021, she held her first solo exhibition, “Add to wishlist,” at the Valencian gallery from Tuesday to Friday, followed by her second solo exhibition, “Digital Afterlife,” produced thanks to the Iniciarte program of the Andalusian Regional Government in 2022.
She has received multiple scholarships and awards such as “A secas” at the CAAC in Seville (Seville, 2023), “Circuitos de Artes Plásticas” (Madrid, 2023), “Ayudas Injuve a la creación” (Madrid, 2023), “XVI Encuentros de Arte de Genalguacil” (Málaga, 2023), “Panorama” from the Fran Reus Gallery (Mallorca, 2021) or the Antonio Gala Foundation (Córdoba, 2017) among others. She has also held multiple group exhibitions such as “Easy Apply!”, curated by Noelia Lecue for the “Curator Wanted” program (Madrid, 2023); “Not only what, but also how” in collaboration with the artist Juan de Andrés Arias and curated by Marta Ramos-Yzquierdo for the Cultural Office of the Spanish Embassy in Washington (Washington, 2023); “Injuve Grants for Creation,” curated by Blanca del Río at the Amadís gallery (2024); “A Minimal Long-Lasting Flash,” curated by Marta Ramos-Yzquierdo at Sant Andreu Contemporani (Barcelona, 2022); and “MAZE,” curated by Eladio Aguilera at ChezKit (Paris, 2021).
