Marco Tavolaro is a multidisciplinary artist born in 1983 in Naples, trained in meditation since 2011.

His meditative practice combines artistic and spiritual approach and allows unique support for participants, guided by tools developed through his graphic research. Trained in illustration and animation at the Instituto Europeo di Design in 2008 and selected for a scholarship and graduated in Media Arts from the Salzburg International Academy of Fine Arts, his private and professional life was strongly marked by his first retirement from Vipassana meditation in 2011.

His artistic practice, which until then used the most recent discoveries in neuroscience to provide a visual representation of the functioning of the cerebral hemispheres – a project that earned him a finalist place in the NSF’s International Science & Engineering Visualization Challenge and selection at R.L’s Art Stars Competition 2011 – has, since the encounter with meditation, inevitably turned to a completely personal, empirical and interior research, with closed eyes.
