He holds a degree in photography from the Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Tomar and a master’s degree from the European Master of Fine Art Photography at IED Madrid.

In 2008 he was one of seven artists selected for the Anticipating award. In 2010 he developed a two-year artistic residency at Carpe Diem-Arte e Pesquisa, which resulted in the individual exhibition Mono in 2012. That same year he was selected for the «Abre Alas 8» award, promoted by the A Gentil Carioca gallery in Rio de Janeiro.

Also in 2012 he participated in an artistic residency on the Island of São Miguel, in the Azores, at the invitation of The Fonseca Macedo Gallery. This residency resulted, in 2014, the exhibition Azores, with the launch of an artist’s book of the same name.

In 2014 he was invited by the Museum of Modern Art Aloísio Magalhães to perform an artistic residency in the city of Recife, with the intention of developing a new work on landscape and color study.

In 2015 he was one of the artists invited to the Creative Residences of Pico do Refúgio, In São Miguel.

In 2018 he is one of the artists invited to participate in the series Um.Artista, from Canal Arte1 Brasil.

Also in 2018 presents the project «Chromatic Study for Blue» at the National Museum of Brasilia.

Since 2007 he has been a professor in the field of photography.

His works are represented in the National Museum of Contemporary Art of Chiado – MNAC, National Museum of Brasilia, Museum of Modern Art Aloísio Magalhães, Antonio Cachola Collection and in several private collections.
