Francisco Burneo (Quito, Ecuador, 1996) is a filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist with a background in Architecture and Cinematic Arts (University of Southern California). He recently completed the MASTER LAV XI in Madrid, an audiovisual laboratory focused on experimental film. His practice blends architecture, analog cinema, and spatial design, exploring time as material through slowness, imperfection, and gesture. His work investigates memory, perception, and the transformation of environments, treating cinema as a tool to construct temporalities and evoke dialogue between what is lived and remembered.

His recent exhibitions include De cerca huele a metal, mezclado dicen que huele a planta (2023) at Punto Rojo Galería, where he presented Bosques Compartidos, an analog film installation. He co-organized Ya no te quiero, pero yo sí (2024), a fundraiser for animation workshops in Gaza. His ongoing film series premiered at La Cineteca Madrid (Encuadres #006) and continued with a second film shown at La.Hipoteca (Rectángulos Imprecisos, Madrid).
