Taiwan

His early works concern the corresponding relationship among structure, rotation and space. Through the sounds and light from well-designed machinery, he explores the repetitive issues between mediums, the futile poetry in artworks, and the unfamiliarity in daily and standardization, offering the audience with a different perspective of living system. As a usual material in creating, “light” constructs the context and axis of the work, corresponding the relationship focusing on time and space. DING attempts to withdraw the machinery in his recent works, echoing the natural state of the involving space. Also, he extends the interpretation of light to the relationship between the viewer’s body and memory.
