David Castro is a director and screenwriter who has written and directed, among others, the short films Berta and Luis (2008), The Whistler (2012), A2042 (2012), being selected and awarded at various festivals such as Encounters (UK), Filminute (Canada) Huesca Festival, Cinema Jove, SEMINCI, Torrelavega Festival, Tarazona and Moncayo Festival, Medina del Campo or the Almería Festival.

He was nominated for the 2017 Goya Awards as executive producer for the animation short Stop-Motion Uka (2016) directed by Valle Comba and in the official section of the Malaga Festival for Enemigos (2018) directed by David Muñoz.

In 2013 he created lag., Production company oriented to the creation of online broadcast content for different platforms.

He is a member of the coordinating board of the Union of Filmmakers and a teacher at centers such as Instituto del Cine Madrid, Fictizia or ECAM.
