(México DF 1971) Audiovisual artist graduated from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana UAM Xen Comunicación Social but self-taught in the mysteries of the audiovisual. Since 1992 he dedicates himself full time to research -‐ production with film and video. His process has been developed essentially in the geographical and conceptual south of the continent, Oaxaca, Chiapas and Yucatán and Bolivia. The work has been shown in multiple forums, exhibitions and festivals in Mexico and abroad such as El Gugenheim NY, the Getty Research Institute LA , Redcat center for Contemporary Arts LA, EU, The Artists cinema Frieze Projects / LUX London England, Cinemateque Ontario, Canada, the Tenth Havana Biennial, Cuba, The Reina Sofía Art Center, Madrid, Spain, The Biennial of the Moving Image , BIM, Buenos Aires, Argentina, The Oberhausen International Film Festival in Germany, Ann Arbor film Festival, EU, El Laboratorio Arte Alameda, DF, El Experimen such Media Congress in Toronto, Canada, The Morelia International Film Festival, Mexico, Hotdocs international Documentary Festival, Toronto, Canada, The UNAM International Film Festival, Ficumam in Mexico City, At the FlahertyMexico seminar, Ambulante Documentary Festival , at the Ann Arbor Film Festival AAFF, 2015 and 2016, GabineteAudiovisual del Museo de arte Carrillo Gilen Mx 2016, among many other spaces.He has received awards and mentions for his work at various festivals. The E-flux award given for the first time in 2015 within the framework of the international short film festival in Oberhausen, Germany in 2015, Honorable Mention at FICUNAM 82018, the best photography in Vid @ rte 99 Mexico DF, The best work at the Geografias Suaves festival, Mérida Yucatán2002 and two honorable mentions at the Videofest, Bienal de Video Experimental Mexicali BC 2007 and 2012.
