APOTROPIA is an artist duo formed by  Antonella  Mignone and Cristiano Panepuccia.

They work across video, dance, performance, sound and installation and explore the philosophical, anthropological and scientific elements of human culture.

APOTROPIA’s  works have been  exhibited internationally  at Japan Media  Arts  Festival, Ars Electronica, BLOOOM Award, Share Festival, WRO Media Art Biennale, Athens Digital Arts Festival, Digiark – National Taiwan  Museum of Fine Arts, FILE – Electronic Language International Festival, Directors Lounge, Bienal de Arte Digital, FutureFest Art Prize, Festival Internacional de la Imagen, Eurovideo, among many others.

Antonella Mignone (Turin, Italy – 1980): Mignone was trained at Teatro Nuovo Ballet Academy of Turin and in 2001 was admitted into the Accademia Isola Danza directed by Carolyn Carlson during the 49th Biennale di Venezia. She graduated from La Sapienza University of Rome with a degree in Art and Performing Arts in 2010.

Cristiano Panepuccia (Rome, Italy – 1979): Panepuccia is a self-taught artist and works as a filmmaker, painter, cartoonist, photographer and soundtrack composer.
