Since 1992, Amparo Lozano has worked as an independent art critic, writing in exhibition catalogues and specialised magazines, as well as curating contemporary art exhibitions, selecting artists and specific projects/works and writing essays/articles for the respective publications. Her exhibitions have taken place in the Sala Montcada of the Fundación la Caixa, in the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, in the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM), in the Museo Extremeño e Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporáneo (MEIAC), and art galleries such as Luís Adelantado (Valencia), Caz La Galería (Zaragoza) or Antonio de Barnola (Barcelona), among others. She has worked with a large number of national artists, including Joan Fontcuberta, Daniel Canogar, Dora García, Jordi Colomer, and international artists such as Janine Antoni (USA), Cathy de Monchaux (UK), Florence Paradeis (France), Jürgen Klauke (Germany), Ursula Biemann (Switzerland), or Rashid Masharawi (Palestine).
Since 2006, she has been teaching Undergraduate and Master’s courses at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Cuenca (UCLM), as well as a Master’s course at La Casa de la Moneda (Madrid).
