A gallery (newspaper/journal/press) of small-format videos showing images of people performing repetitive (periodic) actions in Colombia: working, waiting, moving, or commuting. Each video is a loop and is modified to simulate its repetitive self-erasing.

The project is constructed from my audiovisual archive from 2021 to 2025, recorded in coastal, rural, and urban areas of Colombia. This allows for a political-geographical approach that maps the dynamics of the relationships between individuals’ lives, with their respective contexts and spaces to which they belong. By recording the common, moments are proposed that cut across many scenarios of human existence in a contemporary context that conceives repetitive action as the “essence” of everyday life.

Other images of home are reproduced, without distortion: homes seen from the outside, at night, with their interior lights. Is this a transition from one day to the next? Or could it be a longer break? In addition to repetition, rest is presented as an alternative, a safe space and a break from the trance.
