The Gate

The Gate, a video performance shot in the artist’s neighbourhood, is a response to the Ottoman era style public sculpture in front of the municipality building. The sculpture placed at a random angle, guides visitors through the staircase. The direction shows either the wall of the building or the main road, obstructing the pedestrian route.
