Substance

An elderly woman talked about the loss of a photograph that was very important to her. Her tale is punctuated by distorted phrases of Aristotle, which remind the irruption of the chorus in ancient tragedy. The result is a dialogue, at times enigmatic, that seems to put contemporary history in relation to that of the 20th century. As a backdrop to this dialogue, aerial images of Paris generated by a computer, which nevertheless reveal very real data centers, hidden by an architecture that blends them with the urban landscape. The register of words collides with the visual, projecting significance on our image technologies, and pointing to the idea of «cloud» as a contemporary myth.
